Road to Kinabalu. - Part 1 (The Initiation)

Around 4 years ago, i made my first ever trip to Sabah and i knew it not going to be the last one.
I was having a project work in Lahad Datu hence travelling every month to have a meeting at site. So one day while travelling to there, me and my boss took the other option of flying which is from KUL-BKI-LHD. We travelled one day earlier to Kota Kinabalu, and spend a night there. Following morning we took the earliest flight to Lahad Datu. The flight time from BKI to LHD would take approximately 45-55mins using rotary blade powered engine.

After taking off from BKI i was offered the beautiful sceneries of the island of Kota Kinbalu, the blue colour that tempted me to come again.

And then, whoaa.... i saw her... yes, the beautiful majestically strong talling peak of Kinabalu. Way above higher than clouds, simply standing on top of the clouds proudly showing her majestic granite rock peak.

She is very visible from the town of Kota Kinabalu as its stands at 4095.2 meter above sea level.
Then i made promise to her, that one day I will conquer her and meet her at the peak at any cost.

Fast forward the times, i made several visit to the state and even went to the foot of hills, but never made plans to the peak.

Thats me showing that I wanted badly to get to the peak in 2016.
So, finally i get the opportunity to join with a group of people climbing Kinabalu at low cost rate. I pay the dues slowly according to the pay structure and managed to secured a slot on 7-11th July 2018.

.............. (to be continued)
